[edit] Foreign Policy

We believe in strong ties with democratic governments with respect for human rights. We believe in complete withdrawal from the United Nations, a corrupt and ineffectual organization that has become a second League of Nations. Instead, we propose the formation of an alliance of democratic governments, a democracy of democracies, as a channel for debate and diplomacy, but not in itself a governing body. It would allow free societies to combine their efforts to deal with global economic and health issues, and form military alliances as the need arises. We believe in diplomacy first and foremost, but in cases where that is ineffective, and there are overriding concerns, such as genocide, we will act swiftly and aggressively, hopefully with an alliance of like-minded allies. We also believe in contributing much more foreign aid than we currently give, focused primarily on health and infrastructure. As the world becomes smaller and more globalized, we need to become more engaged and more responsible.

[edit] Proposal by Daniel Wang

We believe that an open foreign policy will best foster global peace and human welfare. We believe in continuing and increasing dialogues between nations so that issues like human rights, peace, and trade can be continuously addressed.

Foreign relation should not be restricted to diplomacy. We believe in working closely with local governments, private sectors, and local communities, focusing on health, education, and infrastracture, so to create conditions favorable to autonomy, economic development, and human justice. We believe that it is better to prevent violation of human rights than to intervene when it arises.

[edit] Asia

We believe in stablizing Asia, in particular lessening nuclear threats, by increasing talks among China, Japan, South and North Korea, and India.
